Favorite Quote:
"The journey is the goal. If you hate the process, you’ll never love the result."
Key Takeaways:
🔹 Resolutions fail because they’re rigid, not because you lack discipline.
🔹 True success comes from aligning your goals with your values and passions.
🔹 The key to consistency is loving the process, not chasing an outcome.

Inconnu

00:01:18:20 - 00:01:23:16
Inconnu
Did you know that most resolutions fail by February?
00:01:23:16 - 00:01:35:05
Inconnu
As I am publishing this podcast episode around mid-February, probably 95% of you have already given up on the.
00:01:35:05 - 00:01:40:13
Inconnu
But what if there is a different way to approach those?
00:01:40:13 - 00:01:52:00
Inconnu
Welcome back to the Adventure recognition. But guest, I am really excited to have you here today to talk about New Year's Resolution,
00:01:52:00 - 00:01:54:05
Inconnu
how we can do it differently.
00:01:54:05 - 00:02:22:01
Inconnu
And I'm going to basically expose my whole approach and perspective on this. So stay tuned. Thank you for being here with me on the Adventure Ignition podcast. Whether you are a regular listener of the show or just a new one listening to the first guest. So thank you so much for being here. Before let's dive into the episode.
00:02:22:01 - 00:02:49:15
Inconnu
If you can review the podcast on Spotify or Apple podcast, I would really help a lot. If you're on YouTube, as I am starting now to share more of the show on video as well on YouTube. Give me a subscribe or just a thumbs up for this video. That really helps a lot. Get this message of adventure out.
00:02:49:17 - 00:02:58:17
Inconnu
All right, to kickstart that episode on resolution, I want to share something that I
00:02:58:17 - 00:03:10:03
Inconnu
witnessed so many times. You probably already heard that kind of story, but that was something I could observe over the years.
00:03:10:03 - 00:03:11:07
Inconnu
I had a lot of
00:03:11:07 - 00:03:20:05
Inconnu
period during my 2020s and early 30s where I would, be really involved in to a gym
00:03:20:05 - 00:03:24:13
Inconnu
even now, even if now I am more like doing a lot of things outside.
00:03:24:13 - 00:03:35:11
Inconnu
During my 20s and even early to early 30s, I was spending a lot of time in the gyms, and I could see the patterns happening year after year.
00:03:35:11 - 00:03:43:24
Inconnu
Generally, the gyms would be packed with people and you could see a lot of new people coming in the gym.
00:03:43:24 - 00:03:45:10
Inconnu
And every time
00:03:45:10 - 00:03:55:12
Inconnu
people would be really motivated. And by the beginning of February or mid-February, the gyms would be empty again.
00:03:55:12 - 00:04:04:00
Inconnu
And that, pattern that I have observed over and over over the years, and I think that's the best
00:04:04:00 - 00:04:11:07
Inconnu
analogy to show, is that people are really good with really, really good intention,
00:04:11:07 - 00:04:20:09
Inconnu
but they just couldn't back it up over time. And we're going to dive into what I think about
00:04:20:09 - 00:04:25:06
Inconnu
resolutions and maybe how we can do a different way.
00:04:25:06 - 00:04:26:04
Inconnu
Maybe
00:04:26:04 - 00:04:41:12
Inconnu
learn about what I call the journey of intention of instead of having a resolution. I think that's a game changing approach for me to start the year aligned and inspired. Actually, that's something I've been doing for
00:04:41:12 - 00:04:45:02
Inconnu
the last three years, and I've been
00:04:45:02 - 00:04:54:13
Inconnu
pretty happy with that method. But let's dive into first why resolution fail
00:04:54:13 - 00:04:56:24
Inconnu
for me, they fail for many reasons.
00:04:56:24 - 00:04:59:22
Inconnu
First, because they feel forced,
00:04:59:22 - 00:05:01:03
Inconnu
misaligned.
00:05:01:03 - 00:05:03:02
Inconnu
And sometimes unmotivated.
00:05:03:02 - 00:05:08:20
Inconnu
It really comes down a lot of the time from social pressure.
00:05:08:20 - 00:05:10:15
Inconnu
Like you feel.
00:05:10:15 - 00:05:14:03
Inconnu
There's two things for me here at the end of the year.
00:05:14:05 - 00:05:17:11
Inconnu
You kind of like reflect a lot on, on, on the past year,
00:05:17:11 - 00:05:32:08
Inconnu
and then you start the new year with a lot of new motivation and energy. And it often comes down to that because that's the moment of the year we actually realize the passing of time,
00:05:32:08 - 00:05:41:22
Inconnu
because that's the moment where the year change. That's the moment where you kind of like reflect and feel like damn time is flying.
00:05:41:22 - 00:06:08:19
Inconnu
And I am now getting older. And so maybe I should do the change this year. And because, like, everyone around us is like talking about New Year, New Year's resolution and things they want to do, it kind of like comes to this, pressure. And people, most of you maybe do them in urgency.
00:06:08:19 - 00:06:14:09
Inconnu
And I find that something that can be quite and motivating.
00:06:14:11 - 00:06:18:21
Inconnu
And I experience that many times and I share,
00:06:18:21 - 00:06:20:11
Inconnu
a quick example in a second
00:06:20:11 - 00:06:22:17
Inconnu
is that sometimes the outcome you are
00:06:22:17 - 00:06:26:15
Inconnu
giving or wanting to, to achieve or reach is too rigid.
00:06:26:15 - 00:06:32:17
Inconnu
You want to lose 20 kilos, you want to run a marathon in the few hours you want to make.
00:06:32:17 - 00:06:38:10
Inconnu
100 K a year with your business or your, your job.
00:06:38:10 - 00:06:41:16
Inconnu
And sometimes it's like, really disconnected from
00:06:41:16 - 00:06:43:11
Inconnu
personal authenticity.
00:06:43:11 - 00:06:46:01
Inconnu
So you take, like, basically generic
00:06:46:01 - 00:06:57:13
Inconnu
resolution. You heard somewhere and just you apply it in your life without really see if it's really aligns, aligned with your own
00:06:57:13 - 00:06:58:15
Inconnu
goals,
00:06:58:15 - 00:07:11:05
Inconnu
values, vision and even desire. Because, for example, let's say you want to run a marathon because you've seen many people doing that, but you hate running.
00:07:11:05 - 00:07:13:01
Inconnu
Maybe that's not the best goal for you,
00:07:13:01 - 00:07:27:19
Inconnu
or maybe it is the perfect goal for you, because you actually want to challenge yourself to run a marathon even if you hate it. And maybe you're going to find some joy in it. It's possible it happens. It happened to me many times,
00:07:27:19 - 00:07:34:24
Inconnu
but usually when you start with the goal in mind, first it really disconnect yourself from
00:07:34:24 - 00:07:36:16
Inconnu
from the goal because you don't
00:07:36:16 - 00:07:39:12
Inconnu
put the ingredients of who you are into this.
00:07:39:14 - 00:07:44:06
Inconnu
An example I wanted to give you about rigid, outcomes.
00:07:44:06 - 00:07:56:10
Inconnu
I could relate to that of one of my latest adventure in 2023. As you may have heard. I decided to bike packed
00:07:56:10 - 00:07:59:00
Inconnu
the 26 regions of Switzerland.
00:07:59:00 - 00:08:10:02
Inconnu
And the goal was actually that it was to explore my country. But I was really fixed in the 26 regions to visit,
00:08:10:02 - 00:08:20:03
Inconnu
and I got so obsessed with achieving the goal that I forgot everything about the the journey to get there.
00:08:20:05 - 00:08:25:13
Inconnu
And I could remember like it was yesterday, the first three days where
00:08:25:13 - 00:08:28:02
Inconnu
terrible for many reasons,
00:08:28:02 - 00:08:36:04
Inconnu
I had headwinds. I wasn't used to my heavy packs I was carrying with me,
00:08:36:04 - 00:08:44:21
Inconnu
and so many other reasons that I won't, talk about it too much here because I don't want to stay on the story. And that's only when I released the,
00:08:44:21 - 00:08:53:05
Inconnu
the pressure of achieving the goal, the results to to kind of like, tell I achieved this, that I started to really enjoy it.
00:08:53:07 - 00:08:59:04
Inconnu
But all the goals I mentioned before, there's nothing wrong with that. And
00:08:59:04 - 00:09:21:19
Inconnu
like I said, it's just maybe you're doing it the wrong way around. So instead of starting with the rigid goals, maybe do a little bit of introspection to put your magic into two goals that are aligned with some, some, some of the things I'm going to talk about in a second.
00:09:21:19 - 00:09:30:01
Inconnu
But I wanted to add something also, about goals that my life personally has taught me about
00:09:30:01 - 00:09:31:06
Inconnu
life and goals.
00:09:31:06 - 00:09:34:08
Inconnu
In
00:09:34:08 - 00:09:36:03
Inconnu
in 2008,
00:09:36:03 - 00:09:42:10
Inconnu
the 4th of January 2008. Actually, I just turned 18 two weeks before that,
00:09:42:10 - 00:09:48:14
Inconnu
my dad jumped out from the window and I was living in the sixth floor.
00:09:48:14 - 00:09:50:16
Inconnu
And it happened the 4th of January
00:09:50:16 - 00:09:52:17
Inconnu
and this experience.
00:09:52:17 - 00:10:00:23
Inconnu
And if you want to have more details about my whole story, you can go back to my previous episode where I actually shared my
00:10:00:23 - 00:10:25:01
Inconnu
whole, personal story, and I go a bit more in detail into this one. But this experience of waking up that day, the 4th of January 20, 2008, and learning news about my dad jumping out of the window really taught me about life, unpredictability and life fragility.
00:10:25:03 - 00:10:34:01
Inconnu
So when you start a year like 2008 like that, and you let's imagine you have set a ton of goals for you,
00:10:34:01 - 00:10:36:02
Inconnu
they're going to just like,
00:10:36:02 - 00:10:49:19
Inconnu
everything's going to disappear in an instant when you have something like that. And that's why I think on top of that, if you have goals only focused on rigid outcomes, for sure,
00:10:49:19 - 00:10:53:17
Inconnu
when something happened like that, you just like, forget them.
00:10:53:17 - 00:10:54:18
Inconnu
And that's normal.
00:10:54:18 - 00:11:04:01
Inconnu
And also in my 20s, I, I kind of like, avoided resolutions all my 20s, for many reasons, because
00:11:04:01 - 00:11:07:16
Inconnu
I was in the mindset of
00:11:07:16 - 00:11:23:07
Inconnu
the experience I just shared with you. And also I was like, what's the point of setting goals or resolutions that you will give up and then blame yourself and feel even worse than before?
00:11:23:09 - 00:11:36:16
Inconnu
So that was my mentality during my 20s. So that's why I didn't kind of like set goals. And I, I tested also in 2022. I think it was just like going with more like intuition
00:11:36:16 - 00:11:47:13
Inconnu
and there's no good in bad, to be honest. And I started to, to shift a bit, my mindset, after my year of traveling and adventure in 2016,
00:11:47:13 - 00:11:48:09
Inconnu
about that.
00:11:48:09 - 00:11:49:06
Inconnu
Even if I
00:11:49:06 - 00:11:53:14
Inconnu
tested many different ways of setting goals for the year to come,
00:11:53:14 - 00:12:02:22
Inconnu
I really, I think, nailed something that works, at least for me, over the last 2 to 3 years. And for me, it's about
00:12:02:22 - 00:12:15:07
Inconnu
setting journey of intention. And if there's something the adventure, most of the time taught me, and especially in this example of my backpacking trip,
00:12:15:07 - 00:12:19:02
Inconnu
is that the journey is the goal.
00:12:19:04 - 00:12:20:20
Inconnu
So if you set a goal
00:12:20:20 - 00:12:23:04
Inconnu
and you had the whole process.
00:12:23:06 - 00:12:41:04
Inconnu
What's the point? I'm not saying that I will never do something like that. Sometimes I, I love to just try something out, challenge myself to do it until the end, to see whether I like it or not. I did that with morning routines in 2017. I tested routines like,
00:12:41:04 - 00:12:47:04
Inconnu
running in the morning because I saw people doing that, and I was a bit curious and sort of judging.
00:12:47:04 - 00:12:49:11
Inconnu
I was like, okay, let's test it out first.
00:12:49:11 - 00:13:03:15
Inconnu
And I, I kind of like enjoyed it, to be honest. And I kept it, but I could have, like, hated it and didn't like the process. But that was an exploration phase. But if you really want to,
00:13:03:15 - 00:13:08:02
Inconnu
have goals that you want to keep
00:13:08:02 - 00:13:10:18
Inconnu
doing over the whole year.
00:13:10:18 - 00:13:32:17
Inconnu
I think you have to shift the focus from obsessing about the outcomes and really focus on embracing the process. And that's where setting a journey of intention is the way to go, because you focused your goal mostly on the journey instead of the the achieving the outcome.
00:13:32:17 - 00:13:36:00
Inconnu
And for me, that's the spirit of adventure.
00:13:36:02 - 00:13:46:10
Inconnu
And over the last 2 to 3 years, honestly, I've done that in 2023 and in 2024.
00:13:46:10 - 00:13:54:08
Inconnu
And I'm still in the process to do that as I'm recording this episode in mid-January to for 2025.
00:13:54:08 - 00:13:55:02
Inconnu
It's really
00:13:55:02 - 00:14:08:02
Inconnu
helped me, brings the joy and fulfillment into the whole year. I'm not saying is like, I'm like, happy the whole year, but at least I am setting journeys.
00:14:08:02 - 00:14:16:14
Inconnu
So in every adventure you have things going wrong. You have to pivot, you have to change, and
00:14:16:14 - 00:14:17:10
Inconnu
that's okay
00:14:17:10 - 00:14:23:16
Inconnu
if you focus on the journey. So if I give you examples like, for example, in 2023
00:14:23:16 - 00:14:29:23
Inconnu
as we were going out of Covid period, if, if even if it was a bit more like early 2022.
00:14:29:23 - 00:14:36:02
Inconnu
I felt a bit disconnected with my creative side,
00:14:36:02 - 00:14:41:24
Inconnu
and I decided to call 2023 without having like, rigid goals.
00:14:41:24 - 00:14:43:18
Inconnu
The year of
00:14:43:18 - 00:14:49:08
Inconnu
creative intuition and the. The goal for me was to to
00:14:49:08 - 00:14:57:20
Inconnu
to go on the journey, to reconnect myself to my spirit of of creation, that I fed the last bits over the previous years.
00:14:57:20 - 00:15:08:19
Inconnu
And in 2024, it was more about creating content on a consistent basis. I call it sustainable
00:15:08:19 - 00:15:11:16
Inconnu
content. Sustainable creativity.
00:15:11:16 - 00:15:26:07
Inconnu
And I was able to I then set a goal, and maybe I will keep that story for a bit later on. But basically I wanted to to create, over the whole year, regularly content.
00:15:26:07 - 00:15:36:07
Inconnu
And that's something I can of achieve. Even if I didn't achieve the exact amount of piece of content I wanted to create, I somehow achieved it.
00:15:36:07 - 00:15:51:11
Inconnu
But the journey of intention is exactly that. And let's go to the whole process. I go for journey of intention building.
00:15:51:11 - 00:16:06:17
Inconnu
So what is a journey of intention? I kind of like explain it a little bit here, but for me it's like a flexible, value driven approach to goal setting focus on journeys and direction over rigid outcomes.
00:16:06:19 - 00:16:17:02
Inconnu
I personally believe because of the and unpredictability of life, that having direction, having a compass
00:16:17:02 - 00:16:23:02
Inconnu
is far more powerful than having the whole plan
00:16:23:02 - 00:16:24:00
Inconnu
in front of you.
00:16:24:00 - 00:16:29:22
Inconnu
Because if you have a plan, you follow the plan and then for some reason there is a big challenge
00:16:29:22 - 00:16:38:17
Inconnu
you will have maybe difficulties to pivot and go around it. But if you have like direction, you okay, like, let's go this way.
00:16:38:19 - 00:16:59:01
Inconnu
Okay. The roads are blocked. Maybe we should go this way, but you know, where are you going? So that's my approach. And that's what it is a journey of intention for me. And I have a step by step process to create the whole journey of intention. That's we're going to cover now. So as we just
00:16:59:01 - 00:17:02:00
Inconnu
seen together, I love to give
00:17:02:00 - 00:17:04:05
Inconnu
my year's name.
00:17:04:07 - 00:17:06:00
Inconnu
So the first step
00:17:06:00 - 00:17:12:06
Inconnu
is to name your year. Choose maximum three words of intention.
00:17:12:06 - 00:17:15:07
Inconnu
Combining together, try to see how it can
00:17:15:07 - 00:17:17:19
Inconnu
really, show.
00:17:17:19 - 00:17:19:08
Inconnu
And represent your year.
00:17:19:08 - 00:17:24:01
Inconnu
Start with that because that's at the top of of my documents. But
00:17:24:01 - 00:17:38:08
Inconnu
actually if you not clear and you don't find it easy to find the a name for you year straight out of the bad, you can keep it for the last one because the other steps will help you
00:17:38:08 - 00:17:44:03
Inconnu
do a little bit of introspection to understand that.
00:17:44:05 - 00:17:52:00
Inconnu
The second step is to ask yourself seven times why. Once you have chosen your your year,
00:17:52:00 - 00:17:56:08
Inconnu
this is not the optimal way to really find
00:17:56:08 - 00:18:04:20
Inconnu
a really your your big why, but at least it will help you understand on a deeper level
00:18:04:20 - 00:18:11:22
Inconnu
why you want to go on that journey this year. So once you have,
00:18:11:22 - 00:18:12:21
Inconnu
your name
00:18:12:21 - 00:18:17:17
Inconnu
of the year, ask yourself seven times why.
00:18:17:20 - 00:18:27:09
Inconnu
So I want to go, for example, I'm going to go to the seven level of, of why. But let's say 2023 was
00:18:27:09 - 00:18:31:21
Inconnu
the name of my year was Creative Intuition. Why? Because.
00:18:31:21 - 00:18:44:11
Inconnu
I lost my creative side during the pandemic. Why? Because I wasn't creating. Why? And you get the picture. And once you get to the seventh answer.
00:18:44:13 - 00:18:50:06
Inconnu
You have a pretty big emotional reason that will help you
00:18:50:06 - 00:18:51:00
Inconnu
keep going.
00:18:51:00 - 00:18:54:00
Inconnu
The step three something I like to do
00:18:54:00 - 00:18:55:09
Inconnu
is to teach
00:18:55:09 - 00:18:59:20
Inconnu
two quotes for the year that will guide and inspire you.
00:18:59:20 - 00:19:25:15
Inconnu
I don't remember if it was for 2023 or 2024, but I picked one of the the quote as remember that life is not a sprint, but a marathon. And for me, it was a way to to remind myself to go step by step and focus on on being patient and not focusing on wanting to have like big results straight away.
00:19:25:15 - 00:19:35:03
Inconnu
And that's definitely something that endurance sports taught me. So that's something I wanted to really, put for 2024. It was.
00:19:35:03 - 00:19:43:08
Inconnu
And then step number five is to define your values. I have a whole documents to to help you,
00:19:43:08 - 00:19:52:22
Inconnu
define your values. Just feel free to contact me on Instagram or, or LinkedIn if you want to have it.
00:19:52:24 - 00:20:12:09
Inconnu
But basically here, the, the process is to choose 3 to 5 of your core values to guide your decisions for the year to come. And that's where for me, probably this is the central most important piece
00:20:12:09 - 00:20:28:20
Inconnu
of the whole process here is to really be clear on your values, or at least the values you want to embody in 2025 for this year or 2026 if you do the exercise next year.
00:20:28:22 - 00:20:35:12
Inconnu
Because I call the values the Golden Compass here, I'm just going
00:20:35:12 - 00:20:58:09
Inconnu
to tell you to choose between 3 to 5. You can go to six if you prefer, but I feel as long as you have that your core values for the year, you will be able then to define your year. If you haven't gotten straight from the bad, the name of the year or just like, pick your goals and that's the next step.
00:20:58:09 - 00:21:08:17
Inconnu
And the final step is to align your goals to your core values. And be sure they reflect on your values and exciting.
00:21:08:19 - 00:21:15:05
Inconnu
I also like to frame my goals as journeys, but I know if you want to have
00:21:15:05 - 00:21:19:03
Inconnu
sometimes like results, you you want to get
00:21:19:03 - 00:21:31:20
Inconnu
six outcomes. But I love to keep the goals something that represents the journey or the journeys I'm defining for the year. And also.
00:21:31:20 - 00:21:35:03
Inconnu
A goal that is mostly
00:21:35:03 - 00:21:38:12
Inconnu
under my power, under my control.
00:21:38:12 - 00:21:42:20
Inconnu
What I mean by that is, for example, let's say you,
00:21:42:20 - 00:21:44:20
Inconnu
you want to set the goal to
00:21:44:20 - 00:21:50:08
Inconnu
to grow your Instagram account to ten, 10,000 people.
00:21:50:08 - 00:22:10:18
Inconnu
You cannot really control that, but you can control the amount of content and the work you put in to maybe achieve that goal. So the journey would be to create content. That was basically my whole purpose last, last year. Even if the goal, one of the goal I wanted to achieve was getting to ten K, which didn't happen.
00:22:10:20 - 00:22:33:03
Inconnu
I put a more controllable goal around the the amount of piece of content I want to create. So my goal, my real goal, the journey I wanted to go on was to be consistent over the year, to create content. And of course, I kind of like burnt out in the middle of the year and had to take two months off creating,
00:22:33:03 - 00:22:39:07
Inconnu
but I still ended up with hundred and 76 pieces of content created.
00:22:39:07 - 00:22:39:23
Inconnu
I think,
00:22:39:23 - 00:22:51:14
Inconnu
and my goal was 100 piece of content. So even if I didn't achieve the goal, I got somehow close to it. And that's this period of of me creating,
00:22:51:14 - 00:22:58:10
Inconnu
goals that are under your control. So, for example, maybe the goal is to run a marathon,
00:22:58:10 - 00:23:00:12
Inconnu
but how many?
00:23:00:14 - 00:23:07:08
Inconnu
How many times do you need to run during the week to be able to run a marathon? That's the real things you can control.
00:23:07:08 - 00:23:19:18
Inconnu
So yeah, that's, basically my step by step process that I go each year now to really define my years.
00:23:19:18 - 00:23:31:15
Inconnu
And as you, listen to what I said, maybe you can start to brainstorm your journey of intention for 2025. And it's not because it's mid-February. That's too late. I mean,
00:23:31:15 - 00:23:42:03
Inconnu
if this thing is too late by mid-February, you still have like ten months and a half to to to make something happen. And
00:23:42:03 - 00:23:49:05
Inconnu
it's all about the journey and being in movement towards your own direction.
00:23:49:10 - 00:23:54:08
Inconnu
And if you are clear on the core values that I just described above.
00:23:54:08 - 00:24:03:18
Inconnu
For sure you're going to get way closer that if you pick a goal that your best friend said for herself or himself, because
00:24:03:18 - 00:24:06:19
Inconnu
you heard it, he was doing that. So you would do that as well.
00:24:06:19 - 00:24:09:17
Inconnu
Maybe you will not love it. Maybe you will give up.
00:24:09:19 - 00:24:10:16
Inconnu
Most surely.
00:24:10:16 - 00:24:24:05
Inconnu
So if I do a quick recap. Name your year. Define your values. Align your goals with your values. Ask yourself why and define maybe quotes that
00:24:24:05 - 00:24:26:02
Inconnu
will inspire you for the year.
00:24:26:02 - 00:24:37:21
Inconnu
One of the quotes actually I have here for the year for me is one from Tim Ferriss is like, what would this look like if it were easy?
00:24:37:23 - 00:24:44:23
Inconnu
That's a quote from Tim from Tim Ferriss that's really inspired me, because I, I noticed.
00:24:44:23 - 00:25:06:04
Inconnu
In 2024 and even before that, I tend to make things more complicated because I kind of like, like the hard way. And this is a quote that really inspired me to simplify things. And just like, make it more easy in my mind to create content and to do anything, basically I want to do.
00:25:06:04 - 00:25:15:10
Inconnu
So that's an example of, of the, of the quotes you, you could use and that I will most surely use for 2025.
00:25:15:10 - 00:25:31:18
Inconnu
But don't be afraid of the process. The goal here is to to start somewhere, get into movements and make it as sustainable as possible for you. So if you have never done sports.
00:25:31:20 - 00:25:34:06
Inconnu
And you want to lose maybe 20 kilos,
00:25:34:06 - 00:25:39:22
Inconnu
and your goal is to go five times a week to the gym from the start in January,
00:25:39:22 - 00:25:42:13
Inconnu
it will be not sustainable for you
00:25:42:13 - 00:25:47:19
Inconnu
because you didn't build enough proof in the past to
00:25:47:19 - 00:25:49:11
Inconnu
make it sustainable.
00:25:49:11 - 00:25:56:15
Inconnu
Maybe start by just going for half an hour the first two weeks, then maybe you can
00:25:56:15 - 00:26:03:04
Inconnu
go two times a week by February, and maybe then you can increase as you
00:26:03:04 - 00:26:06:12
Inconnu
make the habits stick and
00:26:06:12 - 00:26:08:13
Inconnu
make it easier for you.
00:26:08:15 - 00:26:13:19
Inconnu
And I see and I've done the mistakes so many times. So I'm really guilty of that.
00:26:13:19 - 00:26:32:24
Inconnu
To think that I can go from nothing to everything in an instance and then I would burn myself out. It happened for me exactly. For the podcast, actually, I was when I started the podcast, I was on the journey to, to to create content once a week, having interviews once a week.
00:26:32:24 - 00:26:37:13
Inconnu
And after a year and a half of podcasting, I.
00:26:37:13 - 00:26:56:02
Inconnu
I kind of burned out from that podcast because it was so much work that I didn't see behind the scene, and I tried to keep it up for so long, and unfortunately, I didn't have the same amount of time that I wish I had to really work on that.
00:26:56:02 - 00:26:57:16
Inconnu
So it made my.
00:26:57:16 - 00:27:04:16
Inconnu
Podcast journey really difficult. And yes, there are a ton of people that are really
00:27:04:16 - 00:27:32:11
Inconnu
consistent with podcasts once a week. Some of them have teams, some of them are alone. I know some of them are, really consistent. Early in head. And to be so consistent on podcast over the last three years. But for me it was difficult and I kind of like said, I would if I would do it again, I would probably try to make it once a month to get started.
00:27:32:11 - 00:27:37:11
Inconnu
And if I think it's too easy maybe to, because it will help me get
00:27:37:11 - 00:27:45:00
Inconnu
a better understanding of the whole process, and especially in 2021 and 2022, it was even harder because.
00:27:45:00 - 00:27:55:18
Inconnu
There was no ChatGPT and now it helps a lot with a whole new content creation process that wasn't available three years ago.
00:27:55:18 - 00:28:03:09
Inconnu
And basically, that's an example to say and to show you that I overestimated my abilities.
00:28:03:11 - 00:28:05:19
Inconnu
I do that all the time, to be honest.
00:28:05:19 - 00:28:09:01
Inconnu
And if I would have maybe
00:28:09:01 - 00:28:21:04
Inconnu
downgraded a little bit more and then improve over time, it would be way more sustainable. And I'm still learning process. But that's the that's the same idea with
00:28:21:04 - 00:28:28:01
Inconnu
your goals or your resolutions for this year. Try to make it sustainable.
00:28:28:01 - 00:28:33:16
Inconnu
So yeah, that was basically my examples of
00:28:33:16 - 00:28:34:09
Inconnu
giving.
00:28:34:09 - 00:28:38:13
Inconnu
Yeah. Years to my name, to my years. And,
00:28:38:13 - 00:28:40:23
Inconnu
and I think that's the first step to really
00:28:40:23 - 00:28:42:10
Inconnu
make your years.
00:28:42:10 - 00:28:46:21
Inconnu
Adventurous in alignment with who you are
00:28:46:21 - 00:29:10:07
Inconnu
and be in movements. And even if you don't reach the goal, at least you you started to chase the right mountain. Sometimes I like to call this, like, following your purpose or something that's really close to you a dream or something like setting your own Everest.
00:29:10:07 - 00:29:19:05
Inconnu
And by doing this little really introspective journey, even if it's not the full picture. I teach in my program.
00:29:19:07 - 00:29:22:17
Inconnu
It really helps you starts to be.
00:29:22:17 - 00:29:44:14
Inconnu
A bit more clear of who you are and where you want to go, and then chase the right Everest instead of chasing the goal of the neighbor that wants to run a marathon, or the other one who wants to lose 20 kilos in and because she's doing it, you feel that call to do it as well, but you're not really sure why.
00:29:44:16 - 00:29:47:04
Inconnu
So getting movement
00:29:47:04 - 00:30:05:14
Inconnu
and if you're ready to kind of like give up on those really resolution behind, feel free to to DM me name on Instagram or LinkedIn and I'll send you the one pager document I created for myself
00:30:05:14 - 00:30:14:17
Inconnu
that go through the five steps I told you before in this podcast episode. And then you can, like, print it
00:30:14:17 - 00:30:23:08
Inconnu
and write the answer down and put it somewhere in in your apartment or in your house where you can see it.
00:30:23:10 - 00:30:41:01
Inconnu
A lot of the time. I usually put it right there on my door so that I see it almost every day. I don't pay attention every time, but I like to review it here and then sometimes. And, that's the way to go. So I think the best time to really
00:30:41:01 - 00:30:44:04
Inconnu
align who you are to who you are and really
00:30:44:04 - 00:30:45:03
Inconnu
make it
00:30:45:03 - 00:30:50:07
Inconnu
2025, a year of adventure, whatever it means to you.
00:30:50:09 - 00:30:58:07
Inconnu
It starts today with doing this exercise. And don't worry about being in mid-February or falling behind.
00:30:58:07 - 00:31:05:07
Inconnu
We are all on our own personal journey, so don't compare to others.
00:31:05:07 - 00:31:17:10
Inconnu
Really start to put yourself into movements on a sustainable way that you can really keep over the long run and start moving today.
00:31:17:10 - 00:31:20:14
Inconnu
Thank you for being here until the end of this episode.
00:31:20:15 - 00:31:53:10
